So much wisdom and goodness in here for such a young age Camilo. I especially resonated with the perspective on time and what we give our attention to. I’m finishing an essay right now on attending and tending to things. It’s amazing how many words come from the root of “tend” attention being one of them.
I loved the free flowing nature of this piece, like you didn’t sit down to write it as much as you sat down to discover it by writing it.
Loved the reflections and happy birthday! I’m sure I come off as irreverent and reverent at the same time.. but you’re right, we hold contradictions within ourselves. Doesn’t really make you a hypocrite either because no human gets to decide who you are. Only you decide your path. I always could tell you had faith!! The older you get, the crazier and more deranged stuff you see in terms of human cruelty esp in relationships (politically, etc), the more a belief in God is the only thing that keeps you from self combustion and worshiping yourself and being an addict to the algorithm. So well done Camilo! Hope you’re still making your paintings
