Camilo, different and awesome! I felt reading it like it just flowed from you and you didn’t struggle or go back and forth. I hope I’m right. And this:
“Maybe the cherry trees are the conduit—the first lick of ice cream. Once you begin noticing them, you’ll start noticing the other trees and flowers. The whole crew.”
A beautiful set up for the back half of the piece.
Thank you, James! I'm starting to believe that there is a requisite amount of dread and struggle in all writing. Perhaps the mythical "it just came out of me" exists, but I think it doesn't make sense to expect as a regular occurrence. I did struggle with this piece, but based on your comment. It was well worth it!
Thank you, Saalik! I took a lot of photos, but those Poplars are among my favorites. Funnily enough, I hadn't really noticed them until recently, but now I'm obsessed with them!
Camilo, this is such a sweet meditation on attention and how beauty humbles us when we finally notice it. Thanks for the gentle reminder to look closer and savor more. Loved this!

More please. The second scoop! 😊
That was my favorite part too. Great piece Camilo!
Thank you, Dorine!

Love how the imagery (both in the words and photos) weave together in this piece. Those poplars, beautiful!

I would be too! The seasons are vibrant here in New England, but there's definitely a majesty to how huge the trees are in Pacific Northwest
Camilo this was so good!
Thank you, Becky!
Dude, this is beautiful.
Thank you brother!
I love love spring. That first shoot of green in my garden or when the cherry tree gets heavy with unopened buds is my favorite
I'm glad you enjoyed it Perzen. Good to see you in my comments! :)
…as a fellow word nerd photo broto it was fun to see you see…see you seeing again sometime?…
It was fun to see this comment of you seeing me seeing things.
