The image of you practicing to be president of columbia is actually moving and inspiring to me. But in the article itself you've done an excellent job of exposing me to some new and useful ideas, and your review of the book seems insightful and informed. We're in Canada as you know and all the same issues are brewing, as they are worldwide I guess.

Yes, there are a lot of parallels not only in Canada, but worldwide! Appreciate you reading, Rick!

I usually stray away from reading about politics but you piqued my interest to keep reading. So succinct Camilo. Job well done. 👏

My favorite part was your perspective at the end of course :)

Next up, I’d love to read more about how “daily the US increasingly resembles Colombia.”

Thank you, Jen! I appreciate you reading (sorry for the late comment).

And yes, eventually I’ll get to that piece about comparing the US and Colombia. So many other things to write first!

Currently listening to the audiobook of this now and the housing affordability crisis was summed up so succinctly here. I shouldn’t be as surprised as I am how triggered progressives have been by the book but I totally agree with your take so far.

It is so true that affluent liberals can always play passport games to resolve their issues. Cries from the left to just “tax the rich!” never take into account they are the highest flight risk of anyone to leave the country when the tax cost becomes too high.

yea, I actually wish they would have been a bit more combative in calling out the hypocrisy, but I get it, you have extend a hand and hope people will take it and listen.
